Hey hey! I've got some thoughts for you, it might ruffle your feathers. It's not too bad, so don't go just yet. I'm just saying this now so you can be AWARE of how quickly you go into denial. Maybe.
Do you think you are using "work" as a distraction from your calling? Because it is safe? Because it is familiar? Because it's SO DANG EASY AND RIGHTLY UNDERSTANDABLE to be busy making money? And then it's so dang easy to be tired from what you were doing to make money, too tired that you can't work on your passion at the moment.
Pause. check in with your body- how do you feel after hearing that?
Did you instantly start defending, did you feel nothing, did you have an enlightening moment, did you scoff? Whatever it is, just note it as interesting. Just be curious. But no matter what, do not shame yourself...because about 99% of people on the planet probably do this.
But I know you have a dream if you are reading this, and I know that there is a part of you that believes...you put your dream aside but there is something within you that says
"maybe I could...maybe just maybe I could be successful at that". Here's the point of this blog post: Your comfort zone. And bidding farewell to it! Say bye! You must now get on the ship or an airplane...and you might get sea sick or experience turbulence. But Hawaii is an island you can't feel the Aloha Spirit if you don't cross the ocean.
Ok that was just an analogy because to be there isn't really anything better than the Aloha spirit. But liken the Aloha spirit to your dreams.
And what this has to do with your work, is that as long as you keep believing that you have to be busier fixing up some project instead of building your dream, the more you are taking a detour to your dream. Why don't you just take the path of least resistance to your dream. You can take the path of least resistance and the road less traveled at the same time. I know- it is a funny concept.
'The road less traveled' is a concept about marching to the beat of your own drum, building your own door, etc. 'The path of least resistance' concept (popular amongst law of attraction people) is about the art of allowing. Stop fighting yourself. It's about it is just as easy to be delighted as it is to be in a complaining mood. Whichever you are in you are just going to stay in longer, unless you pivot. I think it's about choosing if you'd rather be right or happy.
Anyway, I just want you to be aware of how you might be telling yourself that you can't start lessons yet because ______________. Please do yourself a favor and hop in a time machine and go to November 2020 and tell me what your life could look like if you start taking lessons now. Or sign up for a class now. Or start meditating now.
