Proactively Using Music / Tv / Art

I feel greatly it's time for stillness. And we must take charge day after day every day again and again to do the things that bring us back home. That invite love into our hearts. That invites peace to the soul. That invites magic to your life.

The reason this blog is called Invite the Magic, is because of the word invite. It doesn't come on it's own.

There is a lot to be grateful for. There are things that make your heart ache. It is time to allow unexpressed grief to be expressed. It is time to finally allow yourself space to cry about something you have not given yourself 5 minutes to acknowledge. You don't have to have a reason. It doesn't have to be a good time according to other people. The reason is is that you are living on planet earth and you are living a human experience right now that is temporary to your eternal existence.

Why has art and music persisted during the time of the earth? We have all seen it being tried to get rid of in school districts. Why do some see it merely as entertainment? Think about theatre during the Renascence time. Think about art museums. Think about jazz clubs when they first started. Think about life changing music events that have happened.

The entertainment industry always thrives during challenging times on the earth. It's perhaps on some level a distraction, or to bring some comedy, or to bring some joy. But what does that really say? If we only turn to music or movies or a funny sitcom to bring us joy when the world or life gets too hard? What if we were proactive in using songs and tv shows and theatre and art to uplift us even when things aren't bad?

I would like to share with you this song, and I hope it uplifts you as much as it does me.
